Sweet big brother

I wish the camera had been rolling. Lying in bed together Davis was giving his sister kisses on my belly. Then he offered her his pillow to sleep on... by putting it under my belly. I said it was just the right fit and I was sure she was comfortable. And he says, "yay it fits. How about that?!"

He also was talking about her as "my baby" and then stopped himself. "Mommy, Daddy this is OUR baby. We love our baby." I hope he is as excited about her when she arrives as he is now.

He is always thoughtful of others but somehow it's more touching when he is able to be generous to a baby sister he doesn't even know yet.

The grown-up thoughts and expressions coming from him are really amazing. We are so looking forward to seeing the love shared between our two children.
