Traveling with Baby on Board

We're getting to be quite good with the plane travel. We know what bags to take that will fit under the seat and still be accessible to pull out bottle, formula, water, toy, baby food jar, spoon, bib...... yes, and there's probably more.

So, leave it to me to not pack something for myself. Isn't that how it always goes? We had a great visit with my sister and family. Makayla turned 4 and it was such a great party. I'm always inspired by Megan's creativity and devotion to making her daughter happy.

Needless to say we were sad to leave them Monday. Apparently I subconsciously don't want to go since I left my wallet in Meg's car. In my defense, it was raining when she dropped us off and we were hurrying David to the awning. And I did HAVE my wallet, it just fell out in her seat. So after convincing the ticket agent we were safe, we got to security, told our woeful story. The trick was Meg didn't have her cell phone because her husband needed it. So it wasn't like she could turn around... So then security realizes we don't have a ticket for Bryan, just two for me. So we turn around go back, do it all again. Luckily flight was delayed an hour and we weren't rushing.

Then, we get to Davis.

He had a serious smell emitting from his lower half through the whole ordeal. I went into the ladies room to take care of it, only to have him pee on the wall while I was wiping up the other side. Wonderful! Our schedule was all off so we tried to feed him in a seat, no high chair at the airport Burger King. And he fell asleep in Bryan's lap, mid-bite. Hysterical!

The flight itself was uneventful and we made it back. But we sure do miss cousin Layla and her parents.
