You can see a boat, a decoration from his room, with a hula monkey in it. And then we had little mini bubbles with monkeys on surfboards as favors inside coconut drinks with the kids names on them.
I read somewhere about a site where you can translate someone's name into Hawaiian. So we had name tags with the real and the Hawaiian name on them. Pretty fun even though the name tag stickers I bought were cheap and didn't stick after 5 minutes.
Davis had multiple outfits for his big day. We started with his swim shorts and a fun bowling-style shirt - Hawaiian of course. His birthday crown was made by the well-known Megan, otherwise known as Auntie M. She's an up-and-comer in the children's fashion industry. She fashioned this crown to his birthday colors so it would complement the luau motif, without stealing the show.
