The NEW Davis Part 2

We had a big weekend. First, Davis expressed himself in new ways at dinner Saturday, pitting the full test of his will against Mommy and Daddy. Sadly, I think he caught us so off guard we failed the test. We had two time outs, outside the restaurant, within 10 minutes. Luckily it was a deserted Jason's Deli. But we also found some of his tactics so humorous we were not as stoic as we imagined we would be.

Admittedly, when he bit down on his Gerber disposable plastic spoon and bent it in half like Popeye, he got the rise out of us that he desired. You other parents know these aren't THAT flimsy, so we tried to hide our pride, but he figured us out. This quickly followed with the defiant fork on the floor gesture, which prompted me to retort with the "maybe it's time for a time out." Not to be outdone, the monster said, "okay". And so we went.

Forget the autographs ladies, this little rockstar was not allowed to talk to anyone even the puddle he tried to put his feet in while sitting on the curb behind the Jason's Deli.

Needless to say round two didn't go much better, and it was humbling I admit, because I felt we have been doing a good job with him discipline-wise, and that he is overall a great, well-balanced child. But it just proved we were out of practice!
